Have you ever met someone who fully recovered from myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) or long COVID?
Hear what 75 people did to recover.

In part 1, Dr. Cefai, from the University of London, author of the Recovery Report shares important findings of her groundbreaking study of what real people did to get better from ME, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), long COVID, and related chronic illness.

In part 2 Dr. Cefai and Raelan Agle, the podcast host who conducted the recovery interviews, spend a full 75 minutes answering your questions.
Raelan is a former patient who, following her own recovery, interviews experts and patients on her YouTube channel.

In these 2 webinar recordings we cover:

Some of the topics in the report include:

  • what was the most consistent sequence of events that led to recovery (spoiler alert, it's all about mindset)?

  • what strategies were the most often credited with turning things around? (what about pacing, diet, drugs)?
  • what types of practitioners were the best recovery guides

  • do duration and severity of illness influence recovery?

  • do diagnosis or symptom profile matter?

  • what to do if your doctor tells you there is nothing you can do?

The webinar recording for Part One is 1 hour 25 minutes in length.

  • 7-minute introduction and discussion
  • 34-minute presentation
  • 44 minutes of Q&A

The webinar recording for Part Two is 1 hour 19 minutes in length.

  • 13-minute introduction and discussion
  • 66 minutes of Q&A

ALL presentations in the Expert Speakers Series are free with a membership to Live! with Dr. Stein.

Here's what people are saying

"Thank you for showing that healing is possible. I believe it and I'm embracing it. I really saw myself in one of the comments (that Dr. Cefai made, I think) about not being in a struggle against your body because you are, after all, your body. Thank you for providing these resources and for being an example of healing. I'm appreciative.

And special thanks for addressing the concerns about heart disease and dementia that many of us have. Those of us with ME/CFS and long COVID are so limited in what we can do. Thank you for saying that you haven't seen rampant heart disease or dementia in your patient population. It's so helpful to hear you say that; it takes away that nagging thought about downstream consequences of all this inactivity." - Kate F.
