Ashok Gupta is a renowned name in the field of ME. He himself suffered ME/CFS while studying at Cambridge University and went on to recover 100%. Then he used what he had learned to develop the globally recognized Gupta Program, which has helped 40,000+ people. Ashok believes the key to recovery is to gently retrain the brain's threat response system to the "safe" setting. Then real healing is possible.
The Gupta program claims to benefit chronic health symptoms like fatigue, pain, sensitivities, IBS, anxiety, autonomic dysfunction and more.
The Gupta Program uses techniques to
- calm and regulate the nervous system through breath work, meditation, and somatic exercises.
- retrain the brain: interrupt threat-loops, redirect attention, use visualization, narrative work (sometimes called “parts” work) to create new neural patterns.
In this webinar, Ashok will
- explain his program and how it works
- talk about the research that supports effectiveness
You will be able to ask your questions live (or send them ahead if you can't attend in person).
The webinar will last approximately 90 minutes.
- 5-10 minute introduction
- 40-minute presentation

About the Presenter
Ashok Gupta
Ashok Gupta is an internationally recognized speaker, filmmaker, and health practitioner specializing in neuroplasticity and chronic illness recovery. He is the founder of The Gupta Program, a pioneering neuroplasticity-based treatment protocol for conditions such as ME, CFS, fibromyalgia, long COVID, mold, chronic Lyme and related syndromes.
Ashok’s work is grounded in personal experience. While studying at Cambridge University over 25 years ago, he developed ME and CFS. Through his own research into brain function and the neurobiology of illness, he made a full recovery. He then established a clinic to support others and went on to create the Gupta Program. His approach integrates insights from neuroscience, psychoneuroimmunology, and mind-body medicine and is supported by a multidisciplinary medical advisory board. The program is now used by practitioners across functional, integrative, and conventional medicine.
Ashok has published several peer-reviewed medical papers, including randomized controlled trials demonstrating the effectiveness of brain retraining for ME, CFS, fibromyalgia, and long COVID.
Ashok continues to lead clinical research, deliver training to health professionals, and raise awareness about the role of the brain in chronic illness. His mission is to empower patients and clinicians alike with evidence-based tools that address the root causes of suffering and unlock the body’s innate capacity to heal.
