Live Online Course for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia and Environmental Sensitivities
Apr 10, 2020Environmental Sensitivities and Chronic Fatigue Help
If you are one of the thousands who don’t live close to any health care practitioners who are knowledgeable about Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia and Environmental Sensitivities (ME/CFS, FM and ES ) you may have spent years struggling to improve your health not knowing if you are heading in the right direction or if you are up to date with the research. If this describes your situation, Pathways to Improvement is designed for you. Whether you are newly diagnosed or have been ill for decades, there are lots to learn.
This live online course will provide a step-by-step guide to self-management. And in case you think self-management isn’t very exciting, read the free download Chapter 1: Self-management from my upcoming book More Light. Just subscribe to my eNewsletter to get your free copy. In that chapter, I make the case that self-management is more powerful for ME/CFS and FM than any approved drugs – and there are no side effects.
In the first of eight pathways (lessons) in Pathways to Improvement, I explain how self-management changes our biology. We have the power to effect real biomedical changes through what we do, think and feel. By changing habitual patterns of behavior, we remodel our brains and change our lives.

I am a psychiatrist with a small private practice in Calgary and am an assistant clinical professor in the faculty of medicine at the University of Calgary. Since 2000, I have worked with over 1000 patients, all with ME/CFS, FM and ES. My passion for this field comes from my own struggle with these diseases, my desire to improve my health and then pass on what I learn. My goal is for every patient in Canada to have access to respectful, effective health care within the publicly funded system.
